History: Chris Candido, the grandson of former wrestler Chuck "Popeye" Richards, was 14 years old when he made his professional wrestling debut, against Black Gordman in 1986.

On June 3, 1990, Candido had his big "break" when he defeated Johnny Hot Body for the WWA light heavyweight title. (Which he held on two different occasions, the second time under the management of Jim Cornette in 1992).

In April of 1993, Chris began wrestling in Smoky Mountain Wrestling. After arriving, he feuded with Tim Horner. The feud included several "loser wears a diaper" and baby bottle matches. (In which Candido was defeated on several occasions). On October 4, 1993, Chris won the U.S. junior heavyweight title from Bobby Blaze. The title went back and forth for the next six days. After winning the belt for the second time, Candido threw it in a river! One of Candido's all-time greatest matches, in my opinion, took place on October 30, 1993. In a steel cage, at Bensalem Bash '93, Candido wrestled Sabu. During the match Tammy Fytch sprayed hair spray at Sabu, who eventually won the match.

Chris also wrestled in Eastern Championship Wrestling (ECW) in 1993 as part of the Suicide Blondes team. While he didn't stay there long, he would later return to help the company grow.

On November 19, 1994 Chris Candido defeated Tracy Smothers, in the finals of a ten man tournament for the vacant NWA title. Some participants in this tournament included Jerry Lawler, Eddie Gilbert, and Tony Anthony. Of course, without a little distraction from Fytch, the results may have been different.

Candido and Bradley wrestled Cactus Jack and Smothers on December 25, 1994 in Knoxville, Tennessee. After the match (where Candido was pinned by Jack), Chris turned on Bradley. Boo won a series of "loser eats dog food" matches against Chris. Chris however, had the last laugh when he splashed Boo's cat from the top rope! Finally, on February 26, 1995, Chris lost a loser leaves SMW match to Boo. Two nights earlier, Chris had lost the NWA title to Dan Severn as well.

Soon, Chris Candido appeared in the WWF under a new alias, BodyDonna Skip. Skip, along with Sunny, scored victories over Doink the Clown, Aldo Montoya, Bob Holly, and Duke Droese. On July 8, 1995, Skip was defeated by Barry Horowitz (the same man he defeated in his debut match). From that moment on, the WWF kept Skip in a useless feud with Horowitz and later, Hakushi. Despite this, The BodyDonnas made an impact in the tag team division. Skip was soon joined by Zip (Dr Tom Pritchard) and as a tag team they won the tag titles (only to lose them to the Godwins).

Sunny left the BodyDonnas and moved on to manage the Godwins, Smoking Gunns, and Faarooq. Skip and Zip seemed to disappear. (In reality, Chris suffered an injury and was unable to work for several months. Upon his recovery, instead of being pushed again, he parted ways with the WWF.)

After his injury healed, Chris returned to ECW where he soon joined Shane Douglas and Brian Lee to reform the Triple Threat. Chris had several spectacular matches against Sabu. While Sunny was still under contract with the WWF, she could sometimes be spotted at ECW shows, watching Chris in action. In 1996, Chris wrestled a live televised match on WWF RAW. Chris was part of The ECW Invasion when ECW invaded WWF Television.

After the departure of Brian Lee from ECW, Bam Bam Bigelow was brought in. All this was uder the guidance of the head cheerleader, Francine. Chris soon teamed up with Lance Storm. The two were an awesome tag team and on December 6, 1997 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Candido and Storm defeated Doug Furnas/Phil Lafon and Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney in a 3-Way Dance to become The ECW Tag Team Champions. While there partnership was rocky, and Chris and Lance didn't see eye to eye on many things, they defended the tag team belts and retained them until June of 1998 when they were finally defeated by Sabu and Rob Van Dam.

Chris and Lance continued to feud in ECW, after losing the title. Each man blamed the other for their loss. During the summer of 1998, Tammy Sytch made her return to ECW. She was the mystery tag partner of Lance Storm, on Pay Per View. However, Sunny soon turned on Lance. Lance Storm, who didn't like his chances in a feud with both Chris and Tammy, brought in his own manager, Tammy Lynn Bytch (aka Dawn Marie).

Chris and Tammy remained in ECW until they were supposedly released in December 1999. Currently, rumors state that Chris and Tammy have had talks with WCW regarding possible employment. However, ECW claims that Chris and Tammy were never released from the company and therefore can't be hired by WCW. Until then, Chris and Tammy can be seen at select indy shows across the country. Keep looking at the Candido's Crew main page for details on upcoming appearances.
